They raised a total of $6,088 for Jump Rope for Heart!!
The students who raised $50 or more were in the $50 club and got to celebrate together with their bright green shirts that say "Lifesavers League".
They wore their shirts to school and enjoyed extra time in the gym signing shirt and playing some games with Mrs. Flores.
The money raised goes for research in the fight against heart disease!

Nearly 250 students in grades 9–12 with a 3.75 GPA or higher were invited to celebrate on March 3, at the Annual Honors Breakfast. The highlight of the morning was recognizing eight graduating seniors named First-In-Class 2026, each earning a perfect 4.0 GPA and meeting all specifications while completing rigorous coursework, an incredible accomplishment!
Administrators and Board of Education members served breakfast as students enjoyed fresh fruit, French toast, and bacon. Congratulations to our outstanding Spartans!
Special kudos to our First in Class: Mia Brown, Jaelyn Cicchillo, Savannah Moorman, Alyson Murray, Gabriella Schubert, Lily Vondran, and Dominic Theodore, ( missing from photo is Alyssa Machuga)

Student Achievement Spotlight!
Congratulations to Stella Mitchell, a 9th grade Honors English student at Boardman High School, who was named the 9th grade essay winner in the 2026 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Art, Essay & Multimedia Contest, sponsored by the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.
One winner is selected at each grade level across Ohio—making this a truly outstanding accomplishment!
Way to represent Boardman with excellence, insight, and heart, Stella!

A BIG Congratulations to Boardman teacher Melanie Oberle--Who will be among an amazing group of educators across the Valley, honored on March 3rd!!
Melanie's sparkling personality and caring nature has made an enormous impact for hundreds of k-3 students who come to school speaking little to no English. This year they represent 17 countries with nearly a dozen different languages and dialects. A teacher for 17 years, she ensures that her students integrate and celebrate their diverse backgrounds!!
Congratulations to Boardman's Melanie Oberle--Educator of the Year Nominee.

More than 200 fifth graders at Boardman Center Intermediate School had an out-of-this-world experience connecting with Boardman alum and NASA structural engineer Nick Mastramico during two virtual learning sessions!
Students loved learning about the Artemis mission—including the fact that four astronauts will spend 10 days in a spacecraft about the size of a minivan 😲. Nick shared how the rocket is designed, the many safety checks before launch, and what it’s like working behind the scenes on NASA’s next trip to the Moon.
Nick also told students he knew he wanted to work for NASA when he was in 6th grade—and that he truly loves his job today at Marshall Space Flight Center.
His message to students: Dream big, discover what you enjoy, and lean into what you do well. 🌟
You never know where those dreams might take you!
